ONE MONTH NATURAL!

OKAY, SO I AM ONE MONTH AND A DAY POST BC! WOW...IT SEEMS LIKE I JUST REACHED FOR THOSE SCISSORS AND CUT ALL THE RELAXER OFF. I MUST SAY THAT WHEN I WALK PAST THE RELAXERS IN THE BSS I CAN WALK PROUDLY PAST THEM....:-) MY GROWTH IS DOING GREAT BUT I DO HAVE SHRINKAGE, I BELIEVE I AM 4A 4B BUT MOSTLY 4A TYPE HAIR. BUT ANYWHO I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT MONTH TWO WILL HAVE IN STORE FOR ME. I AM CURRENTLY TRYING OUT THE CAYENNE PEPPER SCALP TREATMENT ONCE A WEEK FOR SCALP STIMULATION AS WELL.....STAY TUNED I WILL BE BACK WITH MORE AND MORE UPDATES!

TWO WEEKS POST BC! YAY!

HEY YALL, I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS QUICK TODAY....I JUST WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU LADIES THAT I AM NOW TWO WEEKS POST BC AND STILL LOVING IT! I AM SO EXCITED SEE TO LITTLE COILS POPPING UP ALL OVER! LOL! I HOPE THAT YOU ALL HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY AND DON'T FORGET....MO HAIR!

PROTECTIVE STYLE????

Today I am 10 days post BC (Big Chop) and I am thinking about doing a protective style for the next 2 weeks. I have 2 bags of Milky Way yaki human hair, in which I will incorporate an invisible quickweave. I will also be protecting my hair with the growth protect solution to avoid any hair loss as much as possible. I love protective styles as they allow you to look neat and presentable without alot of manipulation on the hair.  Also, keep in mind that it's okay to do protective styles as far as weaves, sew-ins, braids, etc just as long as you take care of the hair that's literally on your head. I will come back and post pics of my protective styles as I create them. I hope you all try some type of protective style as you will experience great growth from them in the long run if you just have patience. Patience is the key in growing strong, healthy hair. WHAT MADE YOU BC???

I know that this is a common question in the black community....What made you bc???? Well, for me I had been toying with the idea for 3 years now, I tried transitioning-I gave up, and I tried texlaxing-not what I was looking for as far as curl pattern. So still you ask what lead to this? Well, here's your answer....One day I decided to go blonde???? *Do not do this...please seek a licensed Cosmetologist! I bought a honey blonde first, came out beautiful! But I was not satisfied I had to get it lighter, so I went out and bought a lifter. As you can already tell I did not know what I was doing...lol! (so happy I can laugh about this now) The effect of this was orange hair! So not pretty! I calmly put on my lace front wig and went out to Sally's Beauty Supply and spoke with one of the ladies there. She told me that I needed a toner, one with blue or purple tints to it, so I purchased an ash brown. I went back home and applied this to my hair and of course it was doing a number on my hair by now. When I rinsed it, it still looked the same just not as loud....now I am unhappy with myself at this point. I let about a week pass and bought a natural black dye by Dark N Lovely, took very nice! The next couple of days post black dye was sooooo traumatic! My hair was now coming out in clumps, with every wash, and with every stroke of my comb....I am now panicking! What did I do? I looked at myself in the mirror and said, "THIS IS GOING TO HURT ME MORE THAN IT'S GOING TO HURT YOU"! I pulled out my black hair scissors and begin cutting all the way down to my now 3 mos of new growth. The after effects was scary but guess what? Today May 24th I wore my TWA out in public proudly! I no longer care who doesn't like it, I LOVE IT! I am sooo happy I made this decision, I love my nappiness, I love being ME!!!!!
